ScaleAwayBIO kills bacteria, mould, and mildew, it's great for general disinfecting and cleaning. It's also

Kettle or Urn
Fill kettle/urn to above scale encrustation level. Add 100ml ScaleAway per litre of water.
(Usually 50ml in half litre water to cover kettle element is sufficient). Boil for 2-4 minutes with diluted
descaler. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before use! For hard stubborn scale, let boil for longer period of time until all scale has been removed.
Once the kettle or urn has been descaled, empty contents into sink or drain. Repeat the descaling process again
with clean tap water to ensure all residual ScaleAwayBIO has been totally rinsed out before using to boil
water for consumption!
Coffee Maker
To remove limescale debris from your coffee maker, fill it with a mixture of half water and half ScaleAwayBIO and put
it to work normally. When finished, do the same thing twice but only with water. For hard stubborn scale, repeat the
process until all scale has been removed. Once the coffee maker has been descaled, empty contents into sink or drain.
Repeat the descaling process again with clean tap water to ensure all
residual ScaleAwayBIO has been totally rinsed out before using coffee machine to make coffee!
This is good to do once a month, to remove water minerals that accumulate in it. A monthly cleaning will
help ensure a great-tasting cup of coffee.
Shower Head
Remove shower head from spout by screwing off in a counter clockwise direction. Place shower head in a small plastic or
glass container. Fill half with water and half with ScaleAwayBIO. Let stand in diluted solution for up 30 minutes.
Scrub with soft bristle brush to remove loose residue. Repeat if necessary and rinse off with clean water and reattach
shower head to spout.
Steam Iron
To descale your steam iron, fill the water tank of the iron with ScaleAwayBIO. Set the steam iron to the self-cleaning setting. If your iron does not have the self cleaning setting, place an old cloth
on the ironing board. Iron this old cloth as if you were ironing a piece of clothing until iron has been descaled.
Repeat the descaling process again with clean tap water to ensure all residual ScaleAwayBIO has been totally
rinsed out before using the steam iron on your clothing.
Additional Uses
Put ScaleAwayBIO into a spray bottle and squirt onto windows, to remove dirt and water marks and greasy layer that
sometimes forms by pollution. ScaleAwayBIO can also be used to wipe shower glass and tiles clean. For stubborn
limescale, spray onto surface and leave for 10-15 minutes then scrub off with soft brush and rinse clean. Alternativly use ScaleAway Bio-Gel for stubborn stains in showers, baths and swimming pools.
