 Descaling a Swimming Pool Chlorinator

Check the inside of the cell every 90 days or 500 hours of run time.

A pool chlorinator salt cell should be inspected every 3 months, but only cleaned with acid when you see visible white calcium scale or experience low chlorine production

Once the equipment is too blocked for our descaling chemicals to circulate, the equipment needs to be taken out of production and replaced!

Signs Your Salt Cell Needs Cleaning:
Visible buildup: A crusty, white or gray calcium scale is visible on the internal metal blades.
System alerts: The control panel displays an "Inspect Cell" or "Low Chlorine" warning light.
Flaking: Small white flakes shed from the cell and flow back into the pool water.
Low output: Chlorine levels drop even though your pump run times, salt levels, and chemistry are properly balanced

Huge financial losses to industries are a result of expensive parts replacements.
